The Language Engineers: Another Look At The Biblical Story of The Tower Of Babel

"Corrupt the language and you are forever seeking an answer." Unknown

I'm going to jump right in. No filler. I am learning - if you do not understand the syntax(linguistics : the way in which words are put together to form phrases, clauses, or sentences- there are also other elements), you are disabled from comprehending even the very words coming from your own mouth.

Quick example: "Don't forget.." actually means forget. How? Let's take a deeper look because when I texted this command to someone just yesterday, and awareness came to me and caused comprehension.

DON'T means DO NOT - FOR-GET means BEFORE or AHEAD OF GETTING, i.e., do not experience a forethought or remember getting or do not have a fore-comprehension of the action of getting.

Get it?

In other words the very command intended was immediately dismantled and unintended because of being disabled from comprehending the syntax(way in which words are put together) of the language spoken.

You speak babel. In hearing this word babel and going back to what I was taught about the scriptural account re: the Tower of Babel story, my awareness allowed me access to another meaning. Think on the following:

The engineers of the Babel Language being spoken by the planet is intended that you remain without standing in knowing who you really are and who you have been created to be with regard to how you function, navigate, perceive reality, etc. You being without knowing, a corruption of the language is caused. Based on this corruption everything proceeding from it is corrupted as well. Including your comprehension of your speaking(thinking). This means everything.

In order that you as a vessel(self, body) move about, it is by order of your words, i.e., directive that makes movement possible.

So let's take a look at the relevance of the biblical story of the tower of babel.

Language Engineers. Implementation of babel.

Genesis 11:4 They said, "Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."

Genesis 11:6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

For purposes of keeping things general I will shorten the story for directness.

My interpretation of Genesis 11:4 is this group of people wanted to know who they were, i.e., what their purpose was. "and let us make for ourselves a name."

It was their interpretation to build a tower that reached "heaven" so that they could know, i.e., have knowledge of self(as individuals and as community), purpose, etc. Supposedly God saw this and decided because of their arrogance in trying to reach, God would cause a confusion by causing the people from various territories to speak different languages.

Because the people no longer spoke a common language they could not get to know themselves individually or as a community.

Remember the quote I shared at the beginning of this post?
